How to Beat Soulrift Bosses
Shared fight rules for eight unique bosses while public names are still incomplete.
Soulrift advertises eight unique bosses with their own patterns, gimmicks, and difficulty. Public wikis have not published a complete, trustworthy name list, so this page will not invent one. You still need a walkthrough: the fights share a structure you can learn on any of the eight. Use this with boss difficulty, team comps, and controls. If you have not finished the tutorial, go back to getting started.
The encounter loop
- Pick a character in the lobby (Players).
- Select a boss and a difficulty on the loading screen.
- Teleport into the Boss Fight place with up to eight players.
- Survive patterns, deal damage with M1 and Z/X/C, Dash the big hits.
- Collect Souls/XP, turn in quests, repeat.
The lobby player cap can look like 1. The fight is still a group instance. Do not solo-queue a jump in difficulty because “it is single-player.” It is not, in the sense that matters.
Shared mechanics that actually kill you
Telegraphs. Every published description of Soulrift stresses unique attack patterns. Watch the wind-up, then Dash. M1 through the orange is how you pad the death recap.
Dash economy. Q is not a movement tech for speedrunning the arena. Save it for the hit that would delete your 80–125 HP bar. Reviva’s 80 HP makes this lesson harsher; Sunder’s 125 HP is not an excuse to eat slams.
Role holes. Eight players with eight Zephyrs will still wipe if nobody heals and nobody soaks attention. Bring Reviva or Clockwork, or ask in chat. Shop roster and quest roster exist so you can fill a hole instead of stacking Lumina.
Cooldown greed. Lumina’s identity is high damage and long cooldowns. If you dump all three skills into armor phases or into a boss that just vanished, you will stare at empty slots during the actual damage window. Ricochet is the opposite: low damage, high rate — keep firing, do not “save.”
Difficulty ticks. Each loading-screen notch is a new game. If you cannot name the previous tick’s slam, you are not farming, you are donating time. Details: boss difficulty.
A simple wipe review
After a loss, answer four questions before requeue:
- Which attack killed me? (If “I don’t know,” you were M1-locked.)
- Was Dash available? (If no, you wasted it on a gap close.)
- Did the group have a support? (If no, buy Reviva or wait for Clockwork.)
- Was difficulty above our clear? (If yes, drop a tick.)
That review is more useful than a fake named-boss paragraph.
Character jobs during a fight
- Zephyr / Sunder / Nyx / Scar — stay in melee when it is safe, leave when it is not. Scar’s burn wants uptime; Nyx’s Blood meter wants a planned dump. See tier list.
- Cross / Ricochet / Lumina — hold range, do not stand in ground effects just to pad meters.
- Reviva — heal first, M1 second. A revive used early is better than a wipe with a revive in pocket.
- Clockwork — buff windows before the known slam, not after three people are already down.
- Raiden — hook for uptime, not for clips. Dead stylish is still dead.
- Crystal — AoE ice is for grouped phases, not for showing off in empty space.
Accessories and VIP are not a skip
Five accessory slots add speed/damage passives (accessories). VIP adds 1.5x Souls/EXP (gamepasses). Neither removes a telegraph. Scripts that claim invincible (combat GUI) skip the game helix_works designed; expect bans, not badges.
Shuffle is not a substitute classroom
Shuffle Mode randomizes the fantasy. Learn patterns in the standard Boss Fight place first so you can recognize a slam when the mode mix-up throws it at you.
When a complete official boss list exists, we will add per-boss sections without deleting this shared guide. Until then, eight unique kits plus a difficulty slider is enough to write a real walkthrough — just not a fake bestiary.
