Soulrift Mirage Boss Guide

Mirage is the seventh Soulrift named boss and the most confusing fight in the roster. Despite looking like a cowboy, he does not use guns. His kit is built around illusions, clones, and attacks that require either shooting the real Mirage to cancel or memorizing patterns. HP: 3300 solo, +546 per additional player. Drop: Fedora (+3 armor) and Bandana (F-key 5s full immunity, 60s cooldown), each at Easy 25% / Hard 50%. This page is the dedicated fight. Hub: named bosses.

Mirage overview

HP: 3300 solo, +546 per additional player. Difficulty: Orange bar (between yellow and red). Fight structure: Three phases at 70% HP and 30% HP. Some attacks require players to identify and shoot the real Mirage to cancel them.

Phase 1 moves (100%-70% HP)

Black Shard

Mirage does two teleports around the player (usually the second goes behind the player), then shoots a black shard. Watch for the teleport sequence.

Laser of Teleport and Despair

Mirage aggressively teleports around the targeted player, pauses briefly, then shoots a long-range laser. Watch for the pause.

Purple Diamonds

Mirage teleports twice (the second teleport is further from the player), then dashes and spawns many purple diamonds that home on the target. Keep moving.

Phase 2 moves (70%-30% HP)

All Phase 1 attacks continue. Phase 2 adds cancellable map attacks:

Clone: Big Boom

Mirage makes 3 clones. Players must shoot the real Mirage to cancel the attack. Call out the real Mirage and focus fire.

Energy Circumferences

Mirage spawns multiple waves of energy circles under players. Pillars erupt from the circles. Watch for the pattern.

Phase 3 moves (30%-0% HP)

All Phase 1 attacks continue, and Clone: Big Boom is replaced:

Clone: Bigger Boom

Mirage makes 5 clones instead of 3. Same mechanic: shoot the real Mirage to cancel.

Dance Floor

Colors flash on the ground in sequence. Players must remember the pattern and stand in squares that had no color, in order.

Clone: Rushdown

Multiple clones appear around a single player and attack one at a time clockwise. Watch the attack order.

Hardmode differences

Hardmode starts at different HP thresholds (100%-75%, 75%-40%, 40%-0%) and adds more clones.

Special Last Stand

Mirage has a Special Last Stand interaction with Ricochet. At 25% HP or less: unique cutscene and Heat Haze Shadow by AJURIKA plays.

Fight strategy summary

The most important skill in the Mirage fight is identifying the real Mirage among the clones. During Clone: Big Boom and Clone: Bigger Boom, call out the real Mirage immediately and focus fire as a team — this cancels the attack entirely and creates a damage window. For the Dance Floor in Phase 3, watch the color sequence carefully and stand only on squares that never lit up, pressing them in the correct order. The Bandana accessory is a panic button: it grants 5 seconds of full immunity on the F key with a 60-second cooldown, so use it when you are caught in a clone rush or misread a pattern. Fedora provides +3 armor which reduces all incoming damage, making the long Phase 3 more survivable. The accessory drops from Mirage are both useful — Bandana especially since it can save a run when everything goes wrong.
